This stand alone solar system was installed on a remote property west of Cunnamulla in South West Queensland. The site was formerly a sheep station with shearers’ quarters, making it a practical location for an off grid power system.
The system supplies the essential electricity needs of the remote household without relying on a mains connection.

Cunnamulla Off Grid Solar System
The system supports a broad range of household and property loads, including refrigeration, lighting, fans, washing machine, television, computer equipment, phone and fax services, water pumps and air conditioning.
It also provides power to a workshop with equipment such as a welder, power saw, drills and grinders.

- Plasmatronics 60 amp solar charge controller
- Exide 1080 amp hour deep cycle batteries
- 2 x Latronics 2.5 kW off grid solar inverters
- Woods 30 amp battery charger
The combined inverter capacity provides 5 kW of off grid power for the household and workshop.
